KK Wind Solutions is among the participants at Danish Energy Industries Federation ten-year anniversary exhibition “Join the Future”.
“The purpose is to show our visitors the innovative, green products and solutions of tomorrow from our members that contribute in different ways to making Denmark and the rest of the world greener,” says Anne Lund Andersen, adviser at Danish Energy Industries Federation (DI Energy). The free exhibition, a joint effort with State of Green, is open from April to mid-June in the foyer at Industriens Hus in the heart of Copenhagen.
KK Wind Solutions’ contribution is the story of how retrofitting an existing turbine with a new control system can ensure more clean energy. The display also includes facts related to the wind industry and a video explaining how wind is turned into clean electricity.
“We have been a part of the wind industry from its infancy in the 1970 and it is amazing how our industry has evolved. It is a pleasure to be a part of telling this fascinating story and create awareness of the role of the electrical system in the turbine,” says Sarah Møller Lundberg, Market & Communications Manager at KK Wind Solutions.
From humble beginnings, wind power today produced 39 % of Denmark’s electricity consumption – and a modern turbine can cover an average Danish family’s annual electricity needs in just 40 minutes.
Watch the video from the exhibition below – and learn about the transformation of wind into electricity and the role of the electrical systems and data handling in the complex turbines.
