Construction is on-going at KK Wind Solutions in Szczecin, Poland, where rising production demands from current and new customers means facilities are being extended.
“In terms of turnover, 2014 was a record year for KK Wind Solutions, and with growth expected to continue, we are extending the production facilities, a process which will take place in stages,” says Managing Director Artur Wołoszyn.
KK Wind Solutions first established production in Szczecin in 2001. Since then, production facilities have been gradually expanded.
This time, the extension falls in two parts. Firstly, KK Wind Solutions in June this year moved to a larger, existing production hall in the North West Logistics Park, where production and administration now covers 3,600 square meters, with room to extend on a further 2400 square meters.
Secondly, a completely new production area is being built. The building process began in 2014 and is expected to be completed in October this year, adding 2,000 square metres to the production areas and an additional 1,100 square for administration. A second stage is planned to include a warehouse and administration totaling 3,400 square meters.
