KK Wind Solutions to acquire Nissens Cooling Solutions
The acquisition will enable KK Wind Solutions to become a stronger supplier to the wind industry, with its two main product offerings as cooling systems and power conversion solutions, while strategically expanding into new markets.
KK Wind Solutions has signed an agreement to acquire Nissens Cooling Solutions, the market-leading supplier of customised cooling solutions for wind and other industries. Today, A.P. Moller Holding owns both companies. The acquisition expands the company’s global manufacturing presence, adding sites in the Czech Republic, China, Denmark, Slovakia and more than 800 employees.
“As renewable energy continues to grow and overtake conventional and fossil-based energy forms, the wind industry and its supply chain need to mature in parallel. To achieve this, suppliers such as KK Wind Solutions need to become larger and stronger and with the acquisition of Nissens Cooling Solutions, we are making another decisive move in line with our long-term growth strategy. This acquisition will allow us to diversify our product range from power electronics to cooling solutions while at the same time expanding our customer base in the wind, power-to-X, and other industries. It will also allow us to better integrate power electronics and cooling solutions and thereby enhance the value-add while reducing complexity for our customers by offering complete system solutions within cooling, controls, and power converters,” explains Mauricio Quintana, Chief Executive Officer at KK Wind Solutions.
By leveraging complementary strengths, the combined business will gain scale and efficiency, becoming more competitive and better equipped to meet future customer needs, while Nissens Cooling Solutions' valuable expertise significantly enhances our combined talent pool.

Moller Holding, KK Wind Solutions has grown from just DKK 2 billion of annual revenue to approximately DKK 7 billion with the completion of this acquisition, and we have substantially expanded our footprint and competitive offerings to the benefits of our customers, employees, and partners. The acquisition is set to close on January 1, 2024.
