Been with KK: Since June 2006
What is your work like?
In the QHSE department, we ensure that our company comply with standards and legislation as well as customer requirements. We are responsible for providing and maintaining the (quality) management system which enable the employees to access relevant methods, procedures and templates. The individual departments are responsible for local performance and compliance, however, the QHSE department describes overall processes and provide the needed systems for the organisation and advice to the individual departments when they describe local processes. Thus, in QHSE, we perform a combination of advice and control.
We furthermore drive internal and external audit to maintain our ISO certifications. To ensure a continuously high customer satisfaction, I work on a new quality standard aligned with the large wind turbine manufacturers. We want to frontload quality activities and eliminate errors as early in the process as possible.
In relation to safety, I am responsible for driving our global working environment organisation. Through this, we focus on ensuring a safe workplace for all employees and that our organisation meet the current legal requirements. Together we keep focus on safety awareness and on strengthening learning loops.
Why do you work at KK?
I think it is a thrill to be here – and I enjoy going to work every day. Actually, I never would have thought I would stay in the same job for so long time – but this is an evolving place with entrepreneurship in its DNA. Furthermore, I like the wind industry – and the feeling of making a difference.
How do you contribute to the Wind Power Wizards culture in KK?
I try to be proactive and anticipate what may become issues and at the same time I look at how we can do things smarter. For instance, I have initiated work on a new APQP4Wind (Advanced Product Quality Planning) standard for companies in the wind industry – together with some of the most important market players. This makes cooperation much easier going forward.
